Born and raised in South Wales, I came to Scotland to study for a degree at Edinburgh University and, after graduation, continued north for a job in the oil industry. Six years into my career I made a significant change and left BP to study Acupuncture at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York. Attaining my Diploma with distinction in 1997, I began my new career very slowly, as it coincided with the birth of my daughter. As she grew, so did my practice and in recent years I have been able to develop it fully. Having previously worked in Aberdeen and other parts of Aberdeenshire, I am now based solely in Banchory. I am an enthusiastic student of Qi Gong – a traditional Chinese exercise system – which complements acupuncture and improves my ability to conduct treatment.

During time off, exploring Scotland by foot and by bike is the source of much happiness and most holidays. Finally, being Welsh, I am a rugby fan and have split loyalties when the team from the land of my fathers arrives at Murrayfield to play the flower of Scotland!
